A patient's records in EMR can only be accessed by their healthcare providers. Every healthcare provider is able to monitor an audit trail of activities registered on their patients' records and to enable or revoke access to staff members at any time.

A patient's records in PHR can only be accessed by the patient themselves and healthcare providers they authorise their records for patient care. Every client is able to monitor an audit trail of anyone that has accessed their account at any time and to flag up any concern immediately.
